GEORGE A. HOLMES became a photographer the last five years of his twenty-year Air Force career, overseeing the Photographic Laboratory at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After his retirement from the Air Force, he was a photographer for Texas Governor Dolph Briscoe's administration. In January of 1980, George joined the staff of the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art, the University of Texas at Austin.
