GEORGE A.
HOLMES became a photographer the last five years of his
twenty-year Air Force career, overseeing the Photographic
Laboratory at the United States Air Force Academy in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. After his retirement from the
Air Force, he was a photographer for Texas Governor Dolph
Briscoe's administration. In January of 1980, George joined
the staff of the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art, the
University of Texas at Austin. In 1998, he retired to pursue
his own photography and web design.These images document
George's travels in the southwestern United States, France,
and Italy and reflect his interest in architecural
landscapes.
