These photographs are neither staged nor manipulated; they are candid pictures of life on the street, popularly called "street photography." I've sought to capture "photo opportunities," chance juxtapositions, non sequiturs and the variety and quirkiness of the drama performed in the "theatre" of the street.

 
   
 
 

 

 

This ongoing project presents the first extensive documentation of the street people on Hollywood Boulevard, those homeless, disenfranchised and down and out people for whom street life is the only life they know. It calls attention to a significant, but all too often avoided or ignored, segment of society and presents an honest and disturbing picture of street life on Hollywood Boulevard.  Click here to read more about this project.
